Webinar Recording: Community Partnerships

Since its launch in 2017, The Foodservice Packaging Institute’s Community Partnership Program has impacted hundreds of communities and enabled over 5.4 million households to recycle their cups and containers. The program screens and assists partner communities by engaging with material recovery facilities (MRFs) and end markets to confirm how paper and plastic cups, pizza boxes, clamshells, paper bags, and aluminum trays can be recovered. Selected partner communities may also receive grant funding for recycling education and contamination prevention. During this webinar we walked through the partnership approach, learned about resources available to communities, and heard about the process and impact from actual community partners.
